The Canyon of Wadi Qelt is in the Judean desert not far from Jericho and is historically known as a refuge for prophets and hermits since Bible times for both Christians and Jews.The ultranationalist Jewish movement the GUSH EMUNIM (Faith Block) in its drive to establish settlements or 'presence' in non populated areas, attempted to creat a symbolic mock settlement in the deserted area.The army waited the end of prayers,and then dislodged them, Tel Aviv government disapproved such pirate acts.
