About three months after the cease fire of the Yom Kippur War, which broke out from 6 October 73 to 25 October 1973,between Israel and Arab States,an initiative of Egypt and Syria which covered the Golan Heights,the Sinai Peninsula,and west Bank of Suez Canal,a separation of forces agreement was signed at kilometer 101 of the Cairo to Suez road.
