The Paradis Latin, situated in the Latin Quarter, was built in 1889, partially designed by Gustave Eiffel. A warehouse in 1903, it was transformed in 1970 to a successful cabaret with singers, dancers and special effects. Today, Paradis Latin is perhaps the most French of the cabarets, credited with introducing Vaudeville and musical theater to Paris.
