Avery Harrington, 47, an American foreign fighter aligned with the Kurdish YPG militia, photographed shortly after he was physically assaulted by a fellow foreign fighter from Britain during a dispute.
Harrington, a native of Ohio, worked as a snow plower before leaving the United States to join the YPG in their fight against the Islamic State.
