Scene #0258.
ITALY. Rome. 2019. Piazza Cavour.
About 300 women gathered in front of the Palace of Justice for a flash mob against "state rape" born out of the numerous complaints of sexual violence, mostly against law enforcement, in the context of anti-government demonstrations in Chile.
The protest, which blossomed in Santiago, is directed against the state, the macho narrative and the Vatican. Launching the flashmob was the feminist group Las Tesis, which exhibited in the square along with other feminist realities of the city such as the House of Women, the Lucha y Siesta house and the Cagne Sciolte.
This series is part of the famous annual collection of shots from Italian and international photographers and visual artists returns from artistic residencies in Rome.
