14-year-old Ahmad Naif, a Yazidi boy from Sinjar, stands behind a tent at a makeshift camp for displaced families near the village of Fishkhabur, in Kurdish-controlled northern Iraq. Ahmad and his family fled Sinjar for the nearby mountains as ISIS militants were approaching their village. Ahmad and his family endured a six-day journey through the mountains of northern Iraq and Syria until they crossed the border int Kurdish-controlled Dohuk Province, in northern Iraq.
