Dr Tatsuichiro Akizuki and his wife Sugako who is a nurse, in a hospital room in the hospital where he was working with her before they were married at the time the A-bomb detonated. His condition now is the result of an accident not the bomb. He is the author of a book of his experiences of the bombing, Nagasaki 1945, which is translated into English. 2005.
