Libyan officials publicly denounce a dissident, believed to be Al-Sadek Hamed Al-Shuwehdy, moments before he is hanged for his opposition to the Gadaffi regime at the basketball gymnasium in Benghazi.
These stills were taken from an old Betamax tape which had been kept surreptitiously by the victim’s brother. Hidden away for decades, it was only until the Libyan uprising that he was able to smuggle these out to the West.
