USA. Louisiana. New Orleans. French Quarter. Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop at 941 Bourbon on the corner of St Philip, was built in 1772, the cottage survived the Great Fire of 1788, and is now a very popular bar to which the post lady is delivering letters. Jean Lafitte and his brothers used the blacksmith shop as a blind for their slave smuggling trade.
