Mark Power
GB. ENGLAND. Greenwhich. Three of the twelve masts, each 100 metres tall. The masts bear a striking resemblance to the skylon at the Festival of Britain in 1951; their 'cigar' shape is a natural engineering form, fat in the middle to prevent them buckling under extreme pressure. To the left is the half-built transport interchange that will house the Jubilee Line extension and the bus station. 21 January 1998.
