G.B. ENGLAND. London. The regeneration of the London Docklands. Five years ago the popular Museum of London launched a proposal for a new Museum of Docklands, to deal with the story of what was once the nation's greatest industrial and commercial centre. The museum is at present collecting and warehousing a fascinating collection of the artifacts of the Docklands, preserving everything from old locomotives to complete workshops. Ironically most of the people working a the warehouse are ex-dockers, like those pictured, cataloging in many cases objects which they worked with sometimes less than ten years ago. 1987.
