South East Alliance, along with North west infidels, National Front and English Volunteer Forces organised the march to protest against European immigration policy.
Unite Against Fascism (UAF) and the Kent Anti-Racism Network (KARN) organised a counter-demonstration.
Although the police kept the 2 groups apart during the protest, minor confrontations took place while anti-fascist groups provoked by throwing projectiles and stones at demonstrators.
