RUSSIA. Tunkinsky Valley. 2010. Locals and attendees of the International Shamanism conference go to a Tailgan at the sacred place Bukha-Noyon. There were many restrictions on where one could stand with a camera - could not pass behind or in front of the line of tables with offerings. Bukha-Noyon (White Stone) is a marble ledge rock on the outskirts of Tunkinskie Goltsi (literally "nude mountains", part of Eastern Sayan Mountains) near the settlement Dalakhay, a cult place. Two high steep circumdenudation mountains (5 m each) and marble debris occupy a space of 800x800m and are seen from many places. Here at one of the residual mountains Buddhists erected a joss house (a rectangular building 2x2x2), the other is occupied by an Orthodox chapel.
