J.M.W. Marty Weulink (94) Marty is 94 years old and one of the oldest residents in Humanitas. She is also the only resident that got married there. She got married to her last husband Joop who passed away 6 years ago, he was also a resident of Humanitas. She is a big Shirley temple fan and collects and repairs dolls and dragons as her hobby. Marty has travelled to the Florida and California in 1992 and 1994 to go to the famous Shirley Temple party’s. People from all over the world came there to show their personal Shirley Temple collections, from dolls to sculptures and posters. Marty showed hers and acquired two of her favourite pieces; a Shirley Temple ring and doll.

Marty explains that she likes Shirley so much because of her natural acting skills, and of course because she was a very pretty girl.
