AZERBAIJAN, Lerik. 2018. Gulizar Savagotova's brother, Camal, 25 stands in his garden in Piran town. He is unemployed. In Azerbaijan, youth unemployment (15-29 years) remains high (14.22%), a huge problem in a young country (median age 29 years), the latter constituting a significant part of the population (28.1%). In addition, subsistence farming and the prevalence of many forms of informal employment contribute to significantly lower unemployment rates.
