Jeyarani Vaiththeeswaran and her daughter hold a photograph of their missing son and borhter Antany. Antany has been missing since 2009 after being captured by the Sri Lankan Army as the family was fleeing air bombardment of their village during the last days of the civil war. She and her family also lost their land after the Army occupied their fields.
Jeyarani now lives with the rest of her family in a makeshift home and is forced to work at a peanut farm to make ends meet.
