Slip sheet : Irruption of coincidence.

“Slip sheets are lost pages of the printing of a book. They are inked several times, sent and re-sent through the rotary press, « stained », until the density of the ink is at its optimum.
In July 2001, while producing the book « Pleine Mer » (Men at sea), I found this one here within a heap of hundreds of others. It brought together several photos, which were to be reproduced individually not much later, in a completely unexpected way.

Quite unsettling, I had in front of my eyes, by accident, a completely differnt image, a revelation, a concentration of light and of elements I have been chasing at the sea for years.
Where did they come from?”
