EL SALVADOR. El Mozote. 2001. Site of exhumation of approximately 16 people, along with cartridge cases, found by the Argentine Forensic Anthropology Team in El Mozote, October-November 2001. The Team, which was formed in 1984, first visited El Mozote in 1991 and began work in 1992. This is their third exhumation, which has now identified 230 of the 811 people who are known to be missing from the town.
