NIGERIA. Katsina State. 2003. Amina LAWAL, who was sentenced to death by stoning in March 2002 for having a child out of wedlock. On September 25, 2005 all charges against her were dropped. According to her defense attorney, the court found that her confession and conviction were not legally valid.
