USA. Waveland, Mississippi. September 5, 2005. Debris from destroyed homes and highway signs scattered on Gulf Coast highway. Much of the coastal area of Mississippi was destroyed including downtown businesses, ports, marinas, boats, railroads, highways, and entire residential neighborhoods. Trees were snapped like tooth-picks and all homes on the beach area had completely disappeared from the coastal shore where Hurricane Katrina hit land.
