VIETNAM. Hanoi region. 1990. A Vietnamese woman with a hoe watches a bullock ploughing a field for planting. The hoe is used to cover the trench after seed has been dropped into it. While I was photographing the U.S. veterans rebuilding the Yen Vien health clinic, I made frequent forays into the nearby fields.
