SOUTH KOREA. Moonsan, Kyonggi-do. 1997. Just south of the Military Demarcation Line that divides the Korean Penisula into North and South Korea is a small town called Moonsan, where the boot camp for the ROK Army's elite Jun Din Division is located. Men in South Korea are usually obliged to complete twenty-six months of military service, although those who took ROTC training must serve a minimum of three years. Most of the men are between the ages of twenty and twenty-three. About two hundred men at a time go through boot camp training.
