USA. Waveland, Mississippi. September 5, 2005. Much of the coastal area of Mississippi was destroyed including trees, highways, railroads, ports, marinas, commercial boats, downtown businesses and residential neighborhoods. Trees were snapped like tooth-picks and all homes on the beach area had completely disappeared. Someone has hung an American flag in the former residential neighborhood.
