2013. Over the Gulf of Mexico. Rick, a Detection Enforcement Operator on a P-3 from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) tracks a suspected drug boat on an infrared camera. Only first names are used as identifiers. Although the P-3 tracked the boat for several hours, CBP was unable to coordinate with the navies of Honduras and El Salvador and the boat eventually escaped. The P-3 crew is spending a weeklong detachment in Costa Rica searching for boats running illegal drugs to the United States.
