2013. Over the Gulf of Mexico. The radar crew of a P-3 from Customs and Border Protection tracks a suspected drug boat. Although the P-3 tracked the boat for several hours, CBP was unable to coordinate with the navies of Honduras and El Salvador and the boat eventually escaped. The crew of the P-3 is spending a weeklong detachment in Costa Rica searching for boats running illegal drugs to the United States.
