Three days of Eid ul Adha celebrations. Part of the festivities is the sacrificing of goats, cows/bulls and camels. In the Burns Road ares in Saddar Town, Downtown Karachi.

The kid sitting on the floor cutting meat: Subhan Qureshi, 11, helping his father cut the meat of the mass-slaughtered cows. From here meat is distributed for both the families who bought the cows, and also for charity. The Butcher Arshad Qureshi, has been working as a butcher since childhood, and says his son will also do this. Instead of going to school, the kid helps his fatehr in his buthcer shop.
Eid ul Adha is the second of two religious holidays celebrated by Muslims worldwide each year. It honours the willingness of Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his young first-born son Ishmael as an act of submission to God's command and his son's acceptance to being sacrificed, before God intervened to provide Abraham with a lamb to sacrifice instead.
