Leonard Freed
USA. New York City. 1972. Harlem. Laying dead from a drug overdose, police check out the living conditions of drug pushers in a ruined building. In another room the drug addict sleeping there does not want to get out of bed even though in the next room a friend is laying dead. Another room has a garbage coming in through the open window, the garbage is so high in the court yard that it comes through the open window. The only light comes from candles so the police hase use a flash light. The police sergent said "when one sees under what conditions the drug addicts and pushers are living, one can well understand why they think little of killing someone in a mugging.
