UGANDA. Kaliro. April 23, 2007. As mothers and children listened on at one of the distribution sites Malaria No More, The President's Malaria Initiative (PMI) and the Government of Uganda officially announced their plan to distribute 580,000 long-lasting insecticide-treated nets to pregnant mothers, children under five and other vulnerable populations in 26 malaria risk districts during April-May 2007. In a few months time, the goal is to cover 75 percent of the target population.
