TAIWAN. Yenshui. 1996. The Yuanxiao (Lantern Festival) held on January 15. The Wuu Miaw Temple is especially well known for a wild firecracker display. Only here and in a village near Hanoi do they still allow this dangerous event of setting off firecrackers amongst a crowd.
