USA. New York, New York. 2011. Times Square, an hour after the death of Osama bin Laden was announced by President Obama.
Several hundred people, many of them drunk college students, congregated in Times Square
and Ground Zero to celebrate his death. A father and son preened and swaggered in front of a
large American flag hanging from a fence. A few mournful and solitary figures stood quietly on
the edges of the revelers.
