IRAQ.Basra. September 23, 2010. Monument of a dying shark symbolizing a defeated Iran, built after the Iraq-Iran War, remains on a square in Basra. The original monument had a sword going through the shark's body but was removed by Iranian sympathizers after the fall of Saddam Hussein.
