Japan. Kyoto. The Zen Garden in Ryoanji Temple. A Zen garden made up of fifteen rocks surrounded by grey gravel and enclosed by low earthen walls made of clay. The garden is a classical example of Zen beliefs and was thought to have been laid out by the painter and gardener, Soami, who died in 1525.
