ITALY. Florence Fashion "Biennale". Emilio PUCCI installation. PUCCI was one of the main inventors since the 1950's of the style of the modern woman. This is the first exhibition devoted to his fashion creations.
At the Pitti Palace, the Sala Bianca. The exhibition is staged by the theatrical director Pier Luigi PIZZI.
Fashion and art (which occupy aprox. 160.000 square feet) form the centerpiece of the first Florence Biennale, "Time and Fashion". Artistic Directors are Germano Celant, Luigi Settembrini and Ingrid Sischy. Many of the most remarkable exhibition spaces in Florence and Prato will, for a three month period, be devoted to multidisciplinary exploration of the ways in which art and fashion overlap, interact, coexist and influence each other.
