LEBANON. Beirut. Parked cars conceal bombs. The latest method of spreading terror in West Beirut is bombs placed in parked vehicles in different parts of the city. Recently two parked cars killed 50 pedestrians and injured over 150 persons during the late hours of an afternoon. Bodies and debris were scattered for hundreds of yards, soldiers helped to carry the remnants of a child's body that had been ripped in half, while other citizens fled through the streets. 1982.
