To the right, out of the frame, is a cluster of pine trees where a pioneer homestead once stood. Naomi has a penchant for arranging wildflower bouquets on the kitchen table. She is eating a wild pear from a tree that grows out back. I had planted our own orchard a few years ago and it is now bearing fruit.
