GB. Gateshead, Newcastle. The conversion of BALTIC MILLS, from disused grain silos to Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, a major new centre for contemporary Art, due to open in fall 2001. The project is funded by a variety of scources including a 33.4 million pounds from the British Lottery. Engineering of the design by Atelier One.Design by EWA Architects from London.
