When I had known Danny Seymour on the Bowery, we used to watch the prostitutes work the streets below, many out of a hotel that stood between the Bowery and the next street to the east,Chrystie Street. Chrystie Street, an extension of Second Avenue below Houston, was the western boundary of Sara Roosevelt Park. Chrystie Street was a whoreÕs walk. In 1980 Nancy and I renovated a fifth floor loft there that had once been a garment factory. We moved in with Noah, who was one year old.
