Thge Israeli National Water Carrier, runs from Lake Galilee to the most southern part of the Negev desert. The features of the Water Carrier are determined by the fact that Lake Galilee lies 212 meters below the sea level. To make the water run south, it is then pumped to the highest level of the Carrier, at a point near Eilaburn. This photo shows the National Water Carrier directly after coming out of the Eilabun Tunnel, runn9ing as an open canal through Beit Netofa valley, on its way to Eshkol water reservoir where the dirty Galilee water is being cleaned. This National Water Carrier is the 'heart' of the whole of the Israeli Supply system.
