A police housing complex after a car bomb exploded at dawn injuring at least 33 persons as they slept.The bombing followed a warning from the GIA (Armed Islamic Group) that they would attack women linked to the security forces.The complex is in the Cite GARIDI of Algiers, and was part of the fundamentalists' escalation of terror to oust the military backed Government.
