HUNGARY. 1948. Village of Pilis (9.500 inhabitants), 40 km fom Budapest.
The community has organized a kindergarten where working parents can leave their children during the day. In harvest weeks up to 250 children are looked after, but the usual numbers are around 40 daily.
The new pupils wept and did not want to part from their parents. So some of the mothers had to go inside to lend their children moral support.
