Kerala, fishing village of Pullivila a Catholic community south of Trivandrum.The Nair Service Society (NSS) and the Church)has founded hundreds of schools over the state,colleges etc.The School Managers Ass made a drive against the Education Act (run s the NSS and Church schools).Conflicts arose in the groups and shortly after police firing had killed 2 men and injured five others.At the two places where the men had fallen,their womenfolk knelt and wailed in the bloodstained sand.June 1959.
