Masina is a little Nepalese boy of the Gurung tribe, who lives in the village of Ghachok up in West Nepal's Himalayan range, whose ambition is to be a Gurkha soldier and not a farmer like his father. To be a Gurkha he must be educated and go to school. It shows how he learns through having to make a long and difficult journey to reach Pokhara, to discover himself, his world, and his future.
