GAZA. 1997. Hamas woman and child at outdoor playground built in Gaza after signing of the 1993 peace accords (Oslo Agreement). It was built by the European community to give Palestinian children an opportunity to be "normal." They had become the symbol of resistence during the intifada and were suffering from the effects of violent trauma.
