A working wife, Geeta Gopal Nayak, whose beauty spot is part of the traditional Hindu make-up, sells the 6 yard lengths of fabric that are draped, tucked and folded into saris. A maid looks after her two sons during the day, but Geeta does all the housekeeping herself, cooking over a tiny coal stove. "I work hard, grow tired and thin, but every evening my husband brings me jasmin flowers for my hair".
