Thousands of birds , victims of the ecological disaster after sinking of Maltese oil tanker Erika in French waters,
December 13th 1999, are taken to specialized centres for treatment.
Jean GAUMy has documented efforts of cleaning the birds at the UNSC Centre hosted in the Natural Museum of Allouville-Bellefosse. A gannet is being treated.
