W.Berkub,near the Wall is a memorial for one of who was killed.Freely translated "Heinz Schoeneberger, age 27,from Seesen (Bundesrepublik).On the Second Christmas day 1965, at the border gate he was shot while trying to drive refugees in his automobile across the border to the West.He tried to save himself by running across the border, whereupon he bled to death.
