CHINA. Beijing. Mr. Zhai Huaizeng in his partly demolished Hutong before rehousing. Located in the Wangfujing area of Beijing. He and his wife both came from the poor province of Henan and have lived in this traditonal Hutong (alley) since the late 1960's. They were housed here through their jobs as industrial painters for a nationalised company.
