After four months of clashes resulting in 400 deaths and 2000 wounded, Mogadishu has been, since June 5, 2006, under the control of Islamic militia fighters who are flushing out the warlords from the Alliance for the Restoration of Peace and Counter-terrorism (ARPCT).
