Eli Reed
Beira. Mozambique. We met a woman named Afua who volunteers with the Kuplumusanna WomenÍs Support Group. This group operates out of the Munhava Health Clinic where they work with the PMTCT (Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission) clinic. We did sit-down interviews with a group of 5 volunteers (they are all wearing red shirts) and a home visit with Afua to photograph her daily life; after the kids got up and went to school we went with Afua to another clinic where she had a pre-natal visit (Afua is 4 months pregnant with twins, she is HIV infected and her husband is not around„she is pretty amazing and a great protagonist for the story).
