To fight against crime that has boomed since the fall of Baghdad, Iraqis have organized the defense of their own neighborhoods against looters. Pictured here is a group of vigilantes armed with kalachnikov guns and patrolling their east Baghdad neighborhood every night between 11 PM and 5 AM.
